The 63 Building in Seoul

If you want to get a good view of Seoul there are two places with fantastic views: Namsan Tower and the 63 Building.  We had been to Namsam Tower a few times but had never been to the 63 Building until our final day in Korea.  Luckily, the weather was pretty clear with only a little haze.
We took a taxi from the subway exit and he dropped us right in front of the building.  We entered and found the ticket office and purchased our tickets.  Then we went to the elevator entrance where we were escorted into the elevator and a really quick ride to the top.
                                                         The view was incredible!

I'm not a fan of the cookie cutter apartment buildings that you see so much of in Korea.
They also had one of the penny machines and I thought it would be the perfect souvenir.

There were also art displays for you to see along with the view.  I'm not sure why this is art.  It just looks like a lot of scribbles to me but that's why I am not an art critic.
More scribbles.

Here you could stand and look all the way to the ground.  I admit I was a little scared to do it but I did.  Rocketman stayed clear of this area.  He's not a fan of heights.
I love, love, love this and I hope it is never torn down and made into high rises.

We had the place pretty much to ourselves.
Now, this is what I call art in my humble opinion.

They also had these cool photos.

You could buy a kit in the gift shop and write your wishes and dreams and hang them on this wall.  I love this kind of thing.

This is my last post from our last days in Korea.  It won't be the end because I still have a lot to share.  I will also continue to share my Korean crafting and regular crafting so stay tuned!!!

We heard that our ocean shipment is in customs in Los Angeles so hopefully we will see it next week.  Now where will I put everything that is in those 61 boxes is another questions.

  2. Seoul will have 4 100-something story buildings by 2016. One of them is Lotte World Tower, 123 story building, 556 meter(1824 ft). Lotte World Tower will be completed by 2015. It is expected to become the tallest skyscraper in the developed world, surpassing the One World Trade Center in New York City and housing the tallest observation deck in the world on its 123rd-floor at 497.6 metres (1,633 ft).
